Peter Tierney-Fife

I work for Education Development Center (EDC; http://www.edc.org) in the Gardiner, Maine office (see http://maine.edc.org).

My professional development work focuses in the areas of mathematics education, curriculum design, technology integration, and formative assessment practices. I also have expertise in qualitative research and evaluating interventions. I currently work on multiple projects relating to the Regional Educational Laboratory Northeast and Islands (http://relnei.org) and grant-funded mathematics professional development. I was Field Researcher for Maine’s Impact Study of Technology in Mathematics (MISTM) while working at the Center for Education Policy, Applied Research, and Evaluation (CEPARE) at the University of Southern Maine. Previously, I taught middle school mathematics in Maine. My M.S. Ed. in Teaching and Learning is from the University of Southern Maine.

I enjoy learning new ways to use and support GeoGebra for the learning and teaching of mathematics. I also maintain (the best I can!) the GeoGebra Moodle filter.
